The founding-family pilot

The Carie Founding-Family Pilot is for adults living in the United States who are parents or legal guardians of a teen aged 13–17. The price is USD49, paid once, including any applicable tax charged by us. Any currency conversion shown by Stripe or your bank is separate. Your statement may include TEENCARE. There is no subscription, automatic renewal, later charge or obligation to buy anything else.

The pilot includes one 45-minute video session with an English-speaking teen mentor; a short parent action plan emailed within two US business days after the session; and one email follow-up from Carie’s founder within seven calendar days after the session. The mentor may be based outside the US. The action plan is based on your priorities and the session takeaways your teen and mentor agree to share.

Matching and booking

Successful payment starts matching. It does not reserve an appointment or guarantee a particular mentor or session date. We will email the address used at checkout to confirm your time zone and suitable times. Within three US business days after successful payment, we will either confirm a mutually agreed appointment or initiate a full refund. The confirmation includes the mentor, date, time and video joining instructions.

US business days are Monday–Friday, excluding US federal holidays, counted in US Eastern Time. Pending payments do not start the matching clock.

Cancellation, refunds and undelivered services

You can cancel any time before the session starts for a full refund by emailing linh.hoang@teencare.co. If your teen does not want to participate, cancel before the session for a full refund. We initiate requested refunds within two US business days. The time for funds to reach you depends on your bank and may take several days.

If we cannot deliver the booked session or another included item, you may choose a new arrangement or a full refund. A refund replaces the remaining service.

Participation and parent sharing

A parent or legal guardian must consent to the session, and the teen must agree to participate. Before the session we explain the mentor’s role, what can be shared back with the parent, and relevant safety limits. Sessions are not recorded as part of this pilot. The offer includes only the agreed parent summary; it does not provide access to a private transcript or promise absolute confidentiality.
