Parents, teens and mentors do not need the same information. Relevant observations and agreed actions can help someone support a plan. That does not mean every conversation, note or reflection becomes available to everyone.
A pattern is a hypothesis, not a label.
“Starting may be harder than doing” is a possibility to explore. It is not a diagnosis, a fixed personality trait or the whole story. New context should be able to change the picture.
Uncertainty should be visible.
AI can misunderstand, miss context or offer an unhelpful suggestion. Carie should distinguish what someone shared from what it inferred, ask when it is unsure and leave room for you to disagree.
Memory should stay in your hands.
For the connected product, people must be able to understand what is remembered, correct it and remove it, within clearly explained retention and sharing limits. In this preview, you can clear your locally saved check-in from your plan.
AI support has limits.
Carie is designed to support everyday reflection, communication and routines. It is not a therapist, doctor, diagnostic tool or replacement for qualified professional care. A human mentor is also not a substitute for clinical care unless that service and qualification are explicitly established.
